The Hogle Zoo offers FREE admission on the last Wednesday of the month, November - February! This Wednesday, 2/24 is the last FREE day for a while! Zoo hours are 9am to 4pm. Head on over for a free day of fun!
A few tips if you've never been to the zoo:
- Bring your own lunch! Food is pricey and not incredibly appealing, but the zoo grounds offer ample space for a picnic. I have young kids who still take mid-day naps, so we arrived early, ate snacks and ate a later lunch at home. It worked out well!
- If you're up for an early morning, try to arrive just after the park opens. It's virtually empty for a good hour or so and the kids have a lot of fun running around! {Just wear very warm clothes or plan on hitting the indoor exhibits first!}
- Wear layers. It's supposed to be a high of 41 with a rain/ snow mix on Wednesday, so you'll want to wear warm clothes, but there are a few indoor exhibits where you'll melt if you're all bundled up!
